Harmony in Nature: A Journey to Higher Development
Finding peace and strength through natural rhythms
One can ascend to a higher development only by bringing rhythm and repetition into one’s life. Rhythm holds sway in all nature.
Rudolf Steiner
Morning Yoga Ritual:
Every morning, I begin my day by setting intentions during my yoga practice. From this starting point, the natural rhythms of yoga and breath to movement, weave together providing me with strength and momentum for the days, weeks, and months ahead.
We can find Nature outside us only if we have first learned to know her within us. What is akin to her within us must be our guide. This marks out our path of enquiry.
Rudolf Steiner
Annual Reflection and New Beginnings:
As each year comes to a close, I gather valuable lessons learned from these intersections of life and intention and use them to shape a new beginning in January. Embracing imperfections, I find solace in the peace that nature offers during inevitable low points and let this wisdom guide me back to balance.
What the human being sees, what is poured into his environment, becomes a force in him. In accordance with it, he forms himself.
Rudolf Steiner
Nature as my guide:
Writing in the quiet of late morning my eyes lift to our evergreen trees in cold winter sunlight. Nature’s gift surrounds me – wispy clouds, swaying branches, and the squirrels and birds that come to gather food and play in the yard each day. I open myself to their rhythms, letting them guide me to peace, love, and strength.
I hope you’ll consider allowing the forces of nature to shape your journey, following the paths of inquiry suggested in these quotes. May my narrative inspire you to discover the calming impact of aligning both life and intention with nature’s rhythms.
